Hatch Chile Festival – Hatch, New Mexico, USA

An event for foodies and chilli lovers alike to wake up their taste buds and celebrate the sizzling flavour of the famous Hatch chile pepper. Held on Labor Day (September 4, 2023) in the small town of Hatch, New Mexico, this unusual festival offers visitors the chance to palate a pepper like no other - one with both a sweet and smoky taste to it. Along with the chile tasting, you’ll find cooking competitions, music, and lots of delectable treats that’ll “hit the spot”. Food enthusiasts will love the smoky-infused air that tickles the tastebuds.

Igloofest - Montreal, Canada

Hosted in Montreal, Igloofest is literally the coolest music festival in the world. Don’t let the temp freeze the vibe though, the pure atmosphere itself will be enough to warm you up, and if not, then your dancing surely will. Each year, Igloofest boasts top DJs over four weekends across January and February, so take your pick of timing, and of course, the musicians performing on each weekend. 2023’s line-up included Flume, Chrome Sparks and Kučka among other very talented artists.

Fiesta Nacional de la Manzana – General Roca, Río Negro, Argentina

Attention all apple lovers! Get ready for the topmost apple celebration in General Roca, Argentina. This festival has been a beloved tradition since 1969, and it really is all about the apples. Indulge yourself in mouth-watering apple pie, apple cider and apple jam.  Originally an agricultural event, it has grown into one of the largest and most popular festivals in the country. Apart from the apples themselves, enjoy thrilling rides, sports competitions, live music, and witness the crowing of the ‘Apple Queen and Princesses’. Rocky Run - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

The iconic route made famous by the fictional character, Rocky Balboa, takes you on a journey through the “City of Brotherly Love”. Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta – Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

Another gem tucked away in New Mexico, this festival was first held in 1972 and has gotten bigger and better each year. Watch the sky fill up with hundreds of hot air balloons, a sight sure to take anyone’s breath away.

The Toledo Cacao Festival - Punta Gorda, Toledo, Belize

You don’t need to look any further than the name to know what this festival is all about. Get your fair share of the goodness that is chocolate and even learn about how it is made. The festival is usually held in May and is a three-day long event that’ll immerse you into Belize’s high-quality and acclaimed cacao. You’ll take a trip to cacao farms, experience the local cuisine, and even try some fine wines and chocolate flavoured beer! Worth the trip for any choc-holics to get their fix.

Washington State International Kite Festival - Long Beach, Washington, USA
