Designed by New Zealand golf course architect John Darby, the striking natural setting allows for minimal earth movement to harmonise with nature. Just 15 minutes from downtown Queenstown and located beneath the Remarkables on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, Jack’s Point winds through schist outcrops, native wetland and bush areas along with local wildlife.

The course at Jack's Point is part of a 3000-acre settlement in one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.

Seen from a distance, the first impression is of space, green and gold tussock grassland, massive areas of native vegetation and undisturbed lake vistas. In all, over 800 hectares have been incorporated into 'The Preserve’ and all are linked via a network of trails.

Outside of golf, the property features over 35 kilometres of walking and mountain biking trails, an extensive, restored wetland, native songbird habitat, working farm and one of the most popular golf course restaurants in the country.

Weaving through native tussock grasslands, dramatic rock outcrops, steep bluffs and swathes of native bush to the edge of Lake Wakatipu, the entire course demands a camera. But the spectacular 7th hole is the most photographed – a downhill par 3 with the lake just beyond, it allows you a magnificent view all the way out to Queenstown.

The par 72 course has five sets of tees that stretch from 4,980 – 6,388 metres, with pure fescue fairways and brown top greens providing excellent playing conditions. A fleet of golf carts, premium rental clubs and a full driving range are also on site.

After your round, the restaurant at Jacks Point, part of a partnership with award-winning Amisfield Winery and Bistro, has superb dining with beautiful views.

The course is only enhanced by its proximity to two other spectacular courses – The Hills and Millbrook Resort – both around 20 minutes away by car in Arrowtown.
