Competition Terms and Conditions - AALLLLL THE GOOD STUFF Quiz 2024

The AALLLLL THE GOOD STUFF Quiz promotion (Promotion) starts on 12:01 am on Wednesday, 16 October 2024 and entry closes at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, 6 November 2024 (Promotion Period).

The Promotion is run by The New Zealand Automobile Association (Incorporated) located at Level 5, 20 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland 1010 (AA) and any questions related to the Promotion should be sent to win@aa.co.nz.

Who Can Enter

The Promotion is open to all current AA Members, being individuals:

a) who area citizen or permanent resident of, and currently living in, New Zealand,

b) that have paid their annual Membership subscription in full, and

c) are 16 years and older,

however, the following individuals are not eligible to participate in the Promotion:

employees, National Councillors, District Councillors,and independent contractors of the AA, its related companies, joint ventures, and its third-party service providers, including (but not limited to) its advertising agencies,

immediate family members of the individuals referred to in 3i, which includes a spouse, partner, child, parent, and sibling,

AA Members with complimentary Membership, and

AA Members who cancel their Membership during the Promotion Period,

(Eligible AA Members).

How To Enter

To enter the Promotion, an Eligible AA Member must, during the Promotion Period, enter the Quiz at aa.co.nz/goodstuff-quiz by submitting their contact details and completing all questions. There is 1 entry per AA Member.

Participation in the Promotion implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Failure to observe any of these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification from the Promotion.

Prizes

There are 25 prizes to be won for this Promotion and all Eligible AA Members who enter the Promotion go in the draw to win 1 of the following, which shall be drawn and awarded in the corresponding order:

(each a Prize and referred to together as the Prizes).

Each Prize is not transferrable (except as provided in clause 8), exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or credit.

If a winner is under the age of 18 on the date they are contacted by the AA, their Prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian.

The AA reserves the right to withdraw and replace the Prizes with an item of approximate value and specification should the Prizes not be available for any reason.

Prize Draw

The draw will take place on Monday, 11 November 2024 (Prize Draw).

The AA shall select the winners at random, and the winners will be the first 25 eligible and valid entries, however, the AA reserves the right to re-draw a Prize in the case of an invalid entrant.

Notification

The AA will notify each winner within 3 days of the Prize Draw taking place, using the contact details used to enter the Promotion. If a winner does not respond within 3 days of the notification, the Prize will be forfeited, and a further draw will be conducted from the remaining entries.

If a winner declines a Prize, the Prize will be forfeited, and a further draw will be conducted from the remaining entries.

Publicity

Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of a Prize confirms acceptance to participate in any reasonable publicity or advertising of the AA, including (but not limited to) being interviewed and photographed, with permission for the AA to use their name, photographs, videos, and voice in advertisements, without compensation in connection with such publicity.

Electronic Communications and Privacy

By entering the Promotion, entrants are agreeing to the AA contacting them, including by email. Personal information provided in connection with this Promotion will be held in accordance with the AA's Privacy Policy.

General

The AA’s decision in relation to the winners is final, and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

To the extent permitted by law:

a) the AA reserves the right to change the date of the Prize Draw, delay the start of, extend, or cancel the Promotion or alter any of these Terms and Conditions without notice.

b) neither the AA nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion will be liable to any person for any loss (including indirect and consequential loss) or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion including the supply of goods or services by any person to a Prize winner, and where applicable to any persons accompanying a Prize winner.

c) the AA assumes no responsibility for:

i. any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries,

ii. any entries not received for any reason during the Promotion Period,

iii. any variation in the value of a Prize,

iv. any tax liabilities or other costs that may arise from winning a Prize, and

v. any Prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged, or tampered with in any way after it leaves its possession.

d) all warranties in relation to the quality, suitability or merchantability of a Prize are excluded.

The AA reserves the right, at any time, and at its discretion, to:

a) request proof of identity and/or proof of valid entry from each winner,

b) disqualify any entrant reasonably believed to have breached any of these Terms and Conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct or any conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion,

c) cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion if it is not capable of running as planned for any reason, and

d) take any action that may be available if for any reason, the AA is not able to conduct the Promotion as planned, including due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, any technical difficulties, or any other causes beyond the AA’s reasonable control, which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.

Prize Vehicle

The Prize Vehicle is a new 2024 Suzuki Swift 1.2 GLS Hybrid Auto (which has a recommended retail value of $27,990 + on road costs), and will include a current Warrant of Fitness, 12 month vehicle registration, a full tank of petrol, 3yrs/100,000km warranty (whichever occurs first), and 5 years roadside assist is available to the Prize Vehicle winner at no cost from the date of first registration. Colour choice for the winner is subject to availability.

The Prize Vehicle winner will be solely responsible for any additional expenses, including motor vehicle insurance, vehicle servicing and any non-standard accessories for the Prize Vehicle. The winner must collect the Prize Vehicle in person from the nearest authorised Suzuki New Zealand Limited dealer promptly but by no later than 30 November 2024 and agrees to sign all documents required to register the Prize Vehicle in their name on or prior to collection.

The AA recommends that the Prize Vehicle winner takes out adequate motor vehicle insurance from the time of collection.

As between the AA and the Prize Vehicle winner, the Prize Vehicle is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash, however, the winner may, subject to agreement with Suzuki New Zealand Limited, and prior to collecting the vehicle, upgrade any of the Prize Vehicle’s specifications. If the winner and Suzuki New Zealand Limited so agree, all additional expenses and delivery delays incurred because of any such upgrade(s) will be borne solely by the winner.

Vouchers

The rental voucher for an Apollo Campervan for the duration of 5 days (4 nights) is subject to Tourism Holdings Limited’s standard terms and conditions, please see here for details, and shall be sent to the winner via email. Of note:

a) the driver must be 21 years and over, and have held a full driver’s licence for at least 1 year,

b) collection and return of the Campervan must be from the Auckland or Christchurch branches,

c) the booking must be for the period between 1 March 2025 to 30 November 2025, except for the blackout dates listed below:

i. 11 April 2025 to 28 April 2025,

ii. 27 June 2025 to 14 July 2025, and

iii. 19 September 2025 to 6 October 2025,

and subject to availability. Please contact Tourism Holdings Limited with your preferred dates of travel to verify availability and confirm the booking.

d) The winner consents to their contact details being shared with Tourism Holdings Limited.

e) the voucher does not include any additional fees, including (but not limited to), One Way fee, Public Holiday fees, Location fees, road user fees, extensions, campgrounds, fuel, and gas.

The AA Gold Service voucher:

a) will be sent as a unique code via email to the winner. The unique code must be quoted at the time of booking.

b) is valid until the expiry date on the voucher.

c) is redeemable at any AA Auto Centre – please see the list of locations here.

d) is limited to an AA Gold Service and does not apply to a Warrant of Fitness or repairs.

e) the winner has the option of electing a Standard Oil Gold Service valued at $329 or an Advanced Oil Gold Service

valued at $409, which is dependent on the vehicle to be serviced.

f) cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotional offer.

The Specsavers Glasses voucher:

a) will be posted to the winner.

b) is redeemable at any Specsavers store in New Zealand and is for 1 complete pair of glasses from any range in store. This pair may be redeemable as optical or polarised sunglasses.

c) is valid until 31 December 2025.
