Why do some car batteries need to be registered?: Some vehicles are equipped with a Battery Management Systems (BMS) which requires new batteries to be registered with the system. In most instances, AA Battery Service technicians will perform this registration on applicable vehicles.

What should I do if my battery is diagnosed as flat (discharged)?: Normal driving will not restore the battery to a reliable level of charge. Instead, it should be recharged using a suitable multistage battery charger – and allow up to 48 hours for a flat battery to recharge.

How does the pricing work?

AA Home Book a Job have provided an estimated cost to complete the job type based on our experience and the information you have provided. Once the Representative arrives they will determine if the price needs to be adjusted and if it does will discuss this with you. Please note variations will be processed, and approved by you onsite.
The estimated price includes any parts that may be required for the task you have selected.
Our pricing includes an AA Home administration fee - there are no hidden fees, call out charges etc.
Adding more than one part will not necessarily mean the price is doubled. Seeing as our Representative is already at your house it is more efficient for them to install additional items at the same time.
AA Members, AA Insurance Policy Holders, and AA Home Response and AA Home Response Plus subscribers receive up to 10% discount for the initial estimated callout price by entering their Membership, Subscription or Policy number. Please note there is no discount on any additional costs added and approved onsite, for example extra labour and any materials.
