Yes, we are happy to pick up and drop off at different locations (within reasonable distance and location). You can pre-arrange this with your instructor when they contact you to make a booking.

If I complete a Defensive Driving Course (DDC) on a learner licence does it reduce 6 months off the time to get my restricted or full licence?
Completing a DDC while on your learner or restricted licence will enable you to reduce the time you are required to spend on your restricted licence by 6 months.

Are there any tests in the Defensive Driving Course (DDC)?
No, provided you attend all four classroom sessions in sequence, complete the eDrive component of the course and all the homework plus the in-vehicle session in a road legal vehicle, you will achieve your certificate.

Does the Defensive Driving Course (DDC) apply for Motorbikes?
No, the course will not reduce any time off obtaining your motorbike (class 6) licence. Please visit the NZTA website for information about Motorcycle licences.

I’ve been asked to complete a Police Diversion, which course do I need?
Your diversion officer should have provided you with paperwork and/or information about what you are required to do and the deadlines. Please email your details to aadrivertraining@aa.co.nz or phone 0800 223 748 so that we can help book you onto the right course.

I’ve booked a course but now I can’t make it, can I have a refund?
As per our terms and conditions our courses are non-refundable. However if you are unable to attend a course we will be happy to move your booking onto another course free of charge.

Can I do the In-vehicle drive before I finish the classroom sessions?
No, you must complete all four classroom sessions (including a minimum of 5 eDrive modules) before you can do your vehicle drive session.
