  • Can I put my vehicle registration on hold?

    Your vehicle registration can be put on hold for a maximum of 12 months. This can be done on your behalf if you are overseas by providing the plate number, date of birth and address of the registered owner.

    No. There is no need to contact us as we have automatically updated your postcode in our database to meet NZ Post requirements.

  • Why does my new AA Membership card have a different number to my old card?

    Every AA Membership card you are issued with has a unique number for security purposes. This protects you in the event your card is stolen or lost.

  • I have lost my AA Membership card. Can anybody use it?

    When you tell us your AA Membership card is missing we'll cancel it immediately so no one else can use it. AA Roadservice officers will ask for two forms of ID when they attend a call out so no one will be able to use your AA Membership card.

  • How do I make a complaint or give a compliment?

    We appreciate all feedback on services or products you've received from the AA. We'll ensure your feedback is provided to the appropriate team to manage and resolve as necessary.

  • Why haven't I received a new Membership card this year?

    The Membership Card you currently hold is a high quality card that does not require replacement every 12 months. Your card will be reactivated each year upon receipt of your renewal payment and a new card will be issued with your renewal invoice every 5 years on the 5th anniversary of your joining date. If your card has been lost, damaged, stolen or your personal details change we will be happy to re-issue you a new one.

  • Who should I contact if I have a Driver Licence enquiry?

    You can visit your nearest AA Centre or Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agent for a full supply of NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) Factsheets, application forms, etc. Alternatively, you can visit the NZ Transport Agency website or call them toll free on 0800 822 422 Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.

  • Can I renew my expired photo licence when I'm overseas?
