Where to go for driver licensing
Please see below a list of locations across New Zealand for AA Centres, AA Driver Licensing Agents and AA Mobile Units where you can apply for, renew, replace your driver licence and access other licence and vehicle registration services.
Online bookings are available for selected Oversea Licence Conversion sites.
AA Membership and RealMe, IRD, Kiwi Access and SuperGold Card identity verification services are also available at these locations.
Update for Wellsford – The Mobile Licensing Unit no longer visits Wellsford. The nearest Licensing Agent is a 20-minute drive away in Warkworth. For queries on this, please contact NZTA on 0800 822 422.

Wait times for driver licence tests have increased since NZTA Waka Kotahi changed the fees, so make sure you prepare well for your driver licence test. If you don't pass, you may need to wait a while to get another slot. If you get a test booking and can't use it, please make sure you cancel. Even an hour's notice will mean someone else can use the slot.
