Although there are just three models within this range, deciding which one to invest in is still not easy as all models provide a high level of performance and luxury. Boasting a world record for luggage space in a coupé, this large SUV can easily adapt to any lifestyle.
Good things come in three
Adding to the already high benchmark set by the GLE, the coupé introduces the range with a 6-cylinder 350d 4Matic and will cost you $139,900. Combining the 6-cylinder with the 9G-Tronic transmission delivers an outstanding fuel consumption of 7.2L/100km. Included in this package is an AMG body, 21”wheel styling, Dynamic Select transmission modes, AirMatic air suspension, intelligent lights and more.
The first AMG sports model is the 450 AMG 4Matic which has a price tag of $153,500. This model has a Bi–turbo 6-cylinder engine producing a crazy 270kW. Mercedes Benz says, “this coupé enables an attractive entry to the world of the sports car and performance brand” and I totally agree. Progressing on from the 350d, the 450 AMG includes a panoramic sliding sunroof, AMG Nappa Leather upholstery, 22” AMG wheels and a world-class Active Curve Suspension System. Sport drive mode activates the AMG downshift and exhaust cackle, making you smile every time you slow down to a stop.
The AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic Coupé will cost you $210,000. This model is powered by a 430kW 5.5L V8 Bi-Turbo which is capable of launching you from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds. There’s also an AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission and other AMG luxuries such as the driver’s package, performance exhaust and an Air-Balance package.
All models receive standard safety features that include a whopping nine airbags, Collision prevention assist, pre-safe and active safety, giving the GLE Coupé the leading edge in class.
