Hi,
as stated on the subject I got an infringement note because the label is in the wrong position on my windscreen.
The regulation does not mention clear measurements. Are their actual measurements for the placement?
If not, it seems that the " closest practical position in the right bottom corner of the windscreen " is in the eye of the beholder, right?
Do I have to argue whether it is the closest practical position?

Thanks for your help

Display of licences
(1)
The licence for a motor vehicle must be displayed as set out in this regulation.
(2)
In the case of a motorcycle, moped, or trailer, the licence must be affixed to the motorcycle, moped, or trailer immediately below or as close as practicable to the registration plate.
(3)
In the case of a motor vehicle that is not a motorcycle, moped, or trailer,—
(a)
if the motor vehicle is fitted with a windscreen, the licence must be displayed on the inside of the windscreen, as close as practicable to the bottom right-hand corner of the windscreen (when viewed from the outside and front of the motor vehicle):
(b)
if the motor vehicle is not fitted with a windscreen, the licence must be affixed to the back of the motor vehicle, as close as practicable to the registration plate.
(4)
In every case, the licence must be displayed in an upright, easily visible position.
(5)
The licence for a motor vehicle may be displayed, in the manner described in this regulation, at any time within the month before the date on which the licence comes into force.
(6)
If a licence is displayed in accordance with subclause (5), and a current licence is in force for the motor vehicle, the display of the new licence is sufficient evidence that the motor vehicle is licensed.

There are no dimensions listed but, as stated "if the motor vehicle is fitted with a windscreen, the licence must be displayed on the inside of the windscreen, as close as practicable to the bottom right-hand corner of the windscreen (when viewed from the outside and front of the motor vehicle"
"In every case, the licence must be displayed in an upright, easily visible position"
So where was yours? and was it easily visible?

Thanks for the answer.
Well, that is where my one is positioned. Is it worth going to the local AA branch and talk to them?

Hi there,
To dispute your infringement, you will need to convince the issuer that the label was easily visible and displayed as close as practical to the LH (passenger) side bottom corner of the front windscreen.

"as close as practicable to the bottom right-hand corner of the windscreen."
Car windscreens do not have hands, so placing the label in the bottom right corner will be OK
