if a wof has failed at one garage, can i take it for a recheck at another garage and are there extra costs to do so?

If you have a WOF you should return within 28 days to the same shop for a recheck there should be no charge. However if you have gone to a completely different shop they could not do a recheck and would need to complete a full WOF they would charge you for this but should make you aware of this before completing a new WOF.
