Installing one of these would present two legal warrant problems.

This would create a problem, as the steering wheel would not slide through your hands when the wheel self-centres. Your hand would get caught and this would be dangerous.

The next would be if fitted to the inside, it would interfere with the airbag operation, also a warrant fail because. If the airbag deployed, the device would turn into a projectile and
not be safe in a accident.
Additional equipment has been fitted that may affect the proper performance of the airbag. (reasons for wof rejection airbags)
So I do not advise fitting one of these to your steering wheel.
