We are relocating from South Africa to New Zealand and would like to bring my car over. Please advise where/how I can get information on how to do this.

First step is to read our information on importing vehicles into New Zealand. For more information visit the Land Transport New Zealand web site using the link on the page. Type 'used vehicle importation into NZ' into the search box for a quick reference to the relevant info sheets.

The NZAA are authorised Transport Services Delivery Agents and are able to handle the compliance process for you.

It's important to ensure the vehicle complies with the current NZ standards required before it can be legally registered and driven on public roads.

Obviously this is essential before shipping the vehicle to NZ.
