Are you allowed to park in front of a fire hydrant?

My husband and I have differences of opinions on this one!

If there are no yellow lines, then it's OK isn't it?!

The Road code states that you must not park in front of the fire Hydrant markings on a road, unless someone who can move the car stays with the vehicle.

The 'someone' would need to be a licensed driver capable of moving the vehicle if required to do so.
