I've been in NZ for over 2 years now and commute by scooter. Can I change to a full motorcycle license after 2 years?

You would need to apply for a Motor cycle licence.

In brief the following will apply;

Step 1 - You need to pass a basic handling skill test conducted by an approved motorcycle riding instructor or approved testing officer.

Step 2 - Apply for a learner licence for a bike with a capacity not exceeding 250cc. You will need to pass a eyesight test and a multi choice theory test.

Step 3 - After 6 months you can book a time to sit for a restricted licence. You need to pass a restricted licence riding test. If you pass, restrictions will apply.

Step 4 - If you are under the age of 25 you must wait for 18 months before you apply for a full licence, or 6 months if you are over the age of 25. You will need to pass a full licence practical test
