My father has bought a steering wheel knob (spinner) for his car. I had a feeling these were illegal, however, I was informed by a WOF inspector that they were OK again under the recent changes to the regulations.

Can you please confirm if this is correct as I don't want him to get in trouble.

Your WOF contact is correct and Dad is OK to drive with the wheel spinner.

It is considered a modification, but it does not need to be certified.
