My Suzuki Swift (bought new in 2008) has failed three WOFs, needed 3 sets of rear tyres, a rear wheel bearing and is now unsafe due to a rear axle problem. I have since found out that there is a fault with these vehicles which can cause such problems but no recall has ever been actioned. I don't feel that this is acceptable. What recourse do I have and what are my rights as a consumer because I feel very exploited? Cheers.

Earlier models (around 2005) had modified spacers fitted to fix an uneven tyre wear issue but as far as we are aware your vehicle (2008 model) was not affected.

Firstly, you should take the vehicle to the Suzuki agents to have it looked. The axle geometry has certain factory specifications which a wheel alignment can measure to determine if there is an axle problem or not.
