i bought a used car from a dealer just over 2 months ago, NZ new 1 owner 2008 Mondeo, done under 70K ( now just over 71K mileage). described as " as new" in the ad etc.. I brought my car to John Andrew Ford for service and was told one of the buttons ( up arrow button) for onboard/trip computer on the multi function steering is not working due to a broken switch. It will cost over $400 to replace, is this coverd by the Act and that I can get the dealer to fix it for me?

Would greatly appeciate your help in this before I approach the dealer.

It's definitely worth approaching the dealer. However, you must give him the opportunity to carry out the repair. You can't just have it replaced by the Ford dealer and ask the selling dealer to pay.
The CGA has no finite time, but at 2 months and 1,000km since purchase, it would not be unreasonable to expect the dealer to pay.
