Hi. I'm having a NZ learners licence and was driving a car with my husband beside me who has a full NZ drivers licence. We were driving in a 50km zone and I saw the cars on the opposite lane queued up. Being suspicious I slowed down and I saw this duck and her 5 ducklings crossing the road. I then stopped completely for them to cross the road. But after I stopped - the car that was behind me hit my car and my car moved forward. The other party agreed his fault and gave his details to claim the insurance. My vehicle is uninsured. My question is - will it be a problem for me to claim the insurance and get the car fixed just because I have a learners licence?

As a learner driver driving with a fully licensed driver beside you, you were abiding by the law, so claiming insurance should not be a problem at all, especially as you were not at fault and the other party admitted liability.
