I am on a restricted licence. Can I drive, within the conditions of my licence, with my 17 year old nephew who is under my care and also only holds a restricted licence?

You need to read the following very carefully and decide if you can in fact drive with your nephew in the car.
The rule in part states that if you hold a restricted car licence, you are entitled to carry certain passengers without obtaining an exemption. Two of those passengers are:
- Children who live with you and are under the care of you or your spouse (you or your spouse support them financially).
- Someone you look after as their primary caregiver.
If asked by the authorities, you may need to prove you meet one (or both) of the above conditions.
