Hello
I received a TI Notice for an expired WOF (5 weeks over). The notice the officer gave me records the infringement as Offense number 1. No evidence of inspection. There is no mention of the WOF or the fact that it has expired.
Is this ticket legally valid as it doesn't state what inspection there is no evidence of or mention the WOF at all?

Thanks J

If you were pulled over for no WOF and did not have evidence that you had taken the vehicle for an inspection (ie; have the Inspection sheet available) and that you were taking the vehicle to a place of repair, then you were driving the vehicle illegally, and will be liable.

I was aware of the points you made however my question was as to the validity of the ticket as it does not state what the infringement was for. There is no mention of an expired WOF. Cheers

The inspection is the WOF. (It could also relate to a COF if the vehicle was subject to a COF). So the infringement notice is quite clear if the vehicle was not displaying a WOF sticker and you did not have a failed inspection notice with you. Therefore, the infringement notice stands.
