What advice can I pass onto a young driver in regards to what to say if involved in an accident?

I have told them not to tell lies but try not to admit liability either. Is this good advice and can you add anything extra?

A call to their insurance provider may be helpful as they may have a glove box information pack or similar which can be kept in the car and used in the event of an accident.
