Can you tell me the legalities of driving in New York. Is a NZ licence okay? Any tips for driving in the city?

You can drive in the USA on a NZ licence, but you need to obtain an International Driving Permit, which can only be obtained from the AA. For more details, refer to this page on our website.

Sorry, can't offer you any tips on driving in New York, but would strongly recommend you obtain a GPS device as this will make negotiating the city more pleasant and safer.
