I purchased my Second hand Primera from a dealer about a month ago and ma the first NZ owner. There is however a fault with the automatic transmission which in retrospect I noticed something amiss on the second day of driving the car. It has jsut been diagnosed> I don't have a warranty, but under the consumer guarantees act do I have any comeback? The repairs amount to about $600.

Yes you should be covered und the CGA. Go back to the Dealer and ask them to take a look at the problem.

Do not however have any repairs carried out and then expect the Dealer to compensate you fully.

They need to be given the opportunity to inspect the car and have any repairs carried out by a repairer of their choice.
