Is there such a thing as a temporary Warrant of Fitness which can be issued if a car fails its inspection and the necessary parts are ordered but are not immediately available?

Once upon a time an inspector could issue a temporary Warrant of Fitness but this was removed from the regulations a long time ago. There is no such thing anymore.
A vehicle must comply with all the requirements and conditions of the Vehicle Inspection Requirements Manual (VIRM) before a WoF can be issued.
If the required parts are not readily available, the car should be parked-up until they are sourced and fitted.
If that takes longer than 28 days a new WoF inspection would be required.
