My Birthday is 17 June 1994 therefore I could have gotten my learner license in 2009 (when I was 15) however I didn't get it until October 2009 I then completed my restricted in November 2010. I Now want to complete the defensive driving course so that I can get my full license in November (2011). Can you please explain the new driving laws and whether or not the new laws will apply to me sitting my full license, I know there is a form you can apply for?

If you attend an approved advanced driving course and are over 17-and-a-half years old by November this year you will be eligible to sit for your full license at that time.

Because you are already part way through the system, you may be eligible for an exemption which will allow contnuation of the process under the old system.
