I have a full licence and my Indonesian wife is legally allowed to drive here for up to 1 year with her Indonesian licence. Now she is studying her road code and is practicing driving but will feel more comfortable if I put L sticker up in my window. Is this ok/ legal?

The Road code just states if you are driving on a Learners you must display the plates. https://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/about-licences/stage-1-learner#lplates
It is not clear on the legality of using the plates at any other time.
