looking at purchasing a trailer from trademe, someone has asked about WOF, the vendor says that it has a new plate so the first WOF is valid for 3 years, is this right

Hi there,
If the trailer is new then yes after the first plate is purchased and registration issued, the first wof is valid for 3 years (same with new cars). Any re-registration results in 12 month wof.
