Hi,
I received an infringement for driving in a bus lane between Kingdon Street and Broadway (Auckland ) at 8.32am on a Saturday morning. It appears there is a camera for that stretch of road which is now a bus lane between 7am and 7pm every day of the week. The set up of this stretch of road is very confusing and quite dangerous I would have thought. The normal lane changes abruptly to a bus lane between Kingdon Street and just before Broadway, when left turning vehicles are able to move across it to turn. I was in the area the other day and saw multiple vehicles driving straight through the bus lane oblivious that they were doing anything wrong. I drove through the area a few times over the last few weeks so fingers crossed I don't have any further nasty surprises in the post. I have paid the fine but am hoping that some questions can be asked of AT about the signage of the bus lane and safety of that particular stretch of road. I will submit a complaint directly to AT also but thought I would raise it here as I see a few people in the same boat as me.

Hi there,
Thanks for the information.
According to the AT website, the bus lane is only operational during certain times on weekdays. You might want to dispute the fine if it was issued incorrectly. You can check the roads here: https://at.govt.nz/driving-parking/ways-to-get-around-auckland/carpooling-ridesharing/bus-transit-priority-lanes/#central
