Hi, Near where I live there is a section of dual carriagway 100km/h road with a flush median, but with dotted lines. Further on it changes to solid lines, what is the difference? Can someone overtake on the dotted section?

Hi there,
In general a solid white line is a lane marking- warning that a designated lane has been formed, and generally dotted white lines indicate a place where a vehicle can cross. I've not seen a flush median with dotted lines. For example you'll see solid lines marking a bus lane and dotted near the end where it's marked as safe to cross the lane or to indicate split lanes forming before turning to solid again at the intersection lane marking. https://www.drivingtests.co.nz/resources/road-centre-lines-and-what-they-mean/
