Are cyclists entitled/permitted to ride their cycles on pedestrian crossings?
Do they have right-of-way (on pedestrian crossings) over motor vehicles?

Hi John,
The cyclist Road Code information can be found here, but it states that cyclists need to get off their bike on a Ped crossing. Obviously while off the bike- you are classed as a pedestrian and so vehicle must give way. https://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/cyclist-code/about-cycling/cycling-in-different-situations
