Hello,
Can you tell me the legislation on displaying a registration on a moped. We currently had one parked up on a street and the rego must have fallen out. However it was registered but we have been fined.
I would appreciate some advice.

I would write to the ticketing authority giving the reason for not displaying the Rego, it would be essential to provide proof of registration and or payment, this NZTA web page contains the registration and WoF details that you could use and include in your letter of explanation https://transact.nzta.govt.nz/transactions/CheckExpiry/entry

Thanks Johnhan, Have applied for leniency. Did say we had a current rego but didnt provide proof which is a good idea. Fingers crossed
