I recently got a WOF for our 1998 Honda Legend. It needed only 2 new tyres, which were replaced by the garage, and we also had a service done. When we left the garage, the suspension behaved noticably differently, the car was difficult to drive and had probably become unwarrantable (despite a new warrant). The upshot was (according to the garage) that being on the hoist for an hour or so had affected the oil in the front shocks, but that it should come right. Days later, it hadn't and we replaced shocks at a different garage (around $800) and the car is now back to normal. I understand the car needed to be on the hoist, but do we have any come back?

Hi there,
Unfortunately as the raising of the vehicle exposed an existing (albeit undetected) fault, the workshop wouldn't be seen as liable. Sometimes vibrations can also be due to grease in the drive axles settling in a different position after a vehicle is raised on a hoist, annoying issue to have but not really avoidable.
