I was just wondering what the supervisor of a learner or restricted driver is responsible for, for example if the driver is pulled over for speeding does that responsibility fall on the driver or supervisor?

Hi there,
The NZTA rules don't expand much on the role of the supervisor. I would imagine that it is more to provide instruction and help a learner driver gain confidence. The driver is responsible for wearing a seatbelt, and in charge of the vehicle so I would not think that obeying the road rules to be any different. Very much a driver responsibility.
