can you please tell if my car can get a ticket for no wof while being parked outside of a house,it has no rego and was parked waiting repaires ,the council enforcement officer spoke to my son who explained that the car was waiting to be looked at by amechanic /engineer about repaires, the enforcement officer said ok and wont proceed with any ticket and around 2 weeks later i recieved 2 notices for failing to display wof n no rego,im annoyed to be told no action would be taken but also thought a parked car with no wof could still be parked on the road,it wasnt being driven at the time nor parked in a public carparked but outside of a home ,thanks for any advice .

Not having a current vehicle licence can be both a moving offence or a stationary offence – it is also an offence to park a vehicle on a public road without a current licence: see section 77(2) of these regulations. The regulations around WoF could be interpreted the same way.
You could always make inquiry with the council as to why you were told that there wouldn't be an infringement issued but there was.
