Hi,

I would like to ask if i can turn left to a 3 lane road while there is a car turning right from a two lane road from the opposite road? Just like the red car A in the fifth picture from a link below https://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/about-driving/using-lanes-correctly/

...or should I wait for the blue car to pass since it is on the righ side of the red car? can the red car go ahead and drive on the most left side of the road since the blue car must maintain his lane second from the right?

What if a blue car comes from a traffic light controlled intersection, while the red car is not but a give way sign. A road just like the Richardson-Maioro st. intersection.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Von

Hi there,
According to the image you are referring to from the Roadcode, it would look like both vehicles can turn simultaneously but must stay in their lanes. If there was a right-turning lane to the left of car "B" then the story may be different and car "A" would have to give way to a car approaching the same lane (crossing path) from the right.
