I purchased a new Nissan Juke from Nissan in June 2014, it has been serviced annually by a local MTA reputable service centre. (receipts available) It has 26KM on the clock. A few days ago, a noise was heard coming from the transmission. The local independent service centre advised it was an input shaft bearing on the transmission about to fail. Advice was that it should go back to the selling dealer and a claim made for free repair because of the age and mileage of the vehicle.
I understand this could be a common fault with Nissans.
What are my rights and how should I tackle the dealer? Thanks

Hi there,
Even though this vehicle is out of manufacturers warranty, it is extremely low km's to have such a fault.
If the vehicle has been serviced according to the manufacturers schedule, it would be best to take it straight back to the selling dealer and as for a complete repair as "good will".
