If I import my motorcycle into Australia u der a Carnet can I leave it there temporarily, return home then go back and resume the trip?

Hi there,
It is usually not allowed under the carnet system, however you may be able to seek approval from the Australian Border Force and state an acceptable reason, and they might grant permission. It will be strictly up to Australia if this is permitted.
