Hi there,
I have recently bought a car. AA prepachase check said the car needed to be serviced. I took the car home within a month and it displays “service now” every time when I start the car. Does it mean the dealer haven’t had the car serviced? How do I know if the car been serviced or not. I phoned the dealer and they refused to do anything about it. I don’t know what to do. Can you give me some advise on it? Thank you very much. Jane

Hi Jane,
The car looks to have a service counter that counts down 10,000kms since it was last serviced/reset. So I'm guessing that it wasn't reset when or if the service was carried out. Dealer 'services' could just consist of and oil and filter change. So it might pay to have the rest of the service items checked and ticked off and the counter reset. Things to check would be air filter, drive line fluids, sparkplugs (if fitted), brake fluid ect.
