I just bought a car, but I don't like the number, can I just change it with a new plate number, I don't have any personal plate.

Hi there,
Yes you can go down to a licensing centre and surrender the old plates and buy some new government issue plates, it's not very expensive ($20-30)

Does AA offer the service? what kind of form do I need to fill?

The forms will be on site, yes the AA testing stations and compliance centres will be able to do this service. It is usually available for those who have lost/ stolen or damaged number plates.

but my plate is alright, just don't like the number and want to replace another one without the number. and don't want to spend money for the personalized plate. that is a big cost.
