My car has been slightly damaged and now the hatchback lid does not open. I can still reach the boot from inside the car. Do I need to fix this to pass next WoF?

Unfortunately it is hard to tell if it will effect your WOF. Sometimes accident damage appear to be minor from outside appearances, but on closer inspection they are bigger than we realize I would take it to a panel beater and ask for their opinion and a quote.

Thanks for the response. Everything you said is true, but you have not answered the question: will it fail WoF because the boot lid does not open?

I'm concerned because WoF expiry may pre-date getting the repairs done, and I'd rather not be forced to take it off the road in between.
