Hi there,

I am calculating expenses for a recent trip and I read that the IRD accept AA's calculated rate for vehicle running costs. As I feel my car is relatively expensive to run I thought this might work out better than the standard rate? Could you please advise?

Hi there,
Aside from the IRD rate of 72c for any vehicle type and year. We have a running cost report available for purchase $20 for AA members, however this is designed for new vehicles up to 5 years old and travelling a distance of 14,000km a year.
The information provided may only be a guideline for older vehicles.
