Hi there, I have a BMW f30 320d 2014
I haven't had it long and soon wil need to put some diesel in it.
When I open the refill flap it says " no additives, no biodiesel max b7".
My question is - is it ok to refuel from any of the retail gas stations in NZ? Caltex for instance have only diesel with techron and techron is an "additive" according to the blurb on their website. I can't see anything on the website that says if this fuel is b7 or less.
Would Gull fuel be ok?
Are there retailers that sell biodiesel >b7 that must be avoided?
Many thanks for your help, Bryan

Hi there,
It will generally be ok to use the conventional diesel fuel from any outlet, the issue would be when you start getting into the bio-diesel fuels and the different blends available (b5,b20,60,b100)
Here is a link to a help fuel information article: http://www.liquidbiofuels.org.nz/documents/resource/WLB04-biofuels-compatibility-old.pdf
By additives, the manufacture could possibly mean you don't have to add any, not what the fuel manufacture adds (techron). A lot of fuels these days seem to have some type of additive added before they hit the pump, so may be hard to avoid.
