Hello,
I own a 2007 Ford Fiesta. I have almost always used the higher grade fuel for this car, the Manual for this car recommends 95 & also states that a petrol with an ethonol blend of up to 10% added is fine. I have almost always seeked out the Gull petrol station for the higher grade fuel, rather than go to somewhere like Mobil or Castrol, it was my understanding that Gull had better quality fuel. Maybe I am a bit 'duped.' One or 2 people have told me 95 is better for my car engine than 91 - cleaner burning i think they said. Does my thinking make sense, I guess it is logical I should use the higher octane petrol (which is sometimes 98) rather than the 91, if the car (glovebox) manual says this. I am interested in your comments as to if what I have written here is logical, or what do you think? If there are any articles, such as maybe AA articles about this subject - would be interested - but only been a member for a short time so far, so received no AA magazines yet. Thank You.
