Hi.

Can you please assist me with mileage reimbursement rates for the following vehicles:
- 1993 Nissan Bluebird with a 2.0 litre
- 1996 Toyota Soarer with the 3.0 litre engine

It's very difficult to calculate a running cost rate for vehicles of this age as the major cost of running a vehicle is depreciation and on old cars they have already depreciated to a low level.
As far as reimbursement is concerned, if you are talking about employer/employee reimbursement, this is a negotiated rate between the parties and can be whatever is agreed. If you are referring to IRD, their rate is 77c per km for all vehicles if you comply with IRD criteria such as keeping a log book, mileage limitations etc.
AA calculations for vehicles between 3 to 5 years of age would be 65c per km for a 2.0 litre car and 80c per km for a 3.0 litre car.
