Can you please let me know what the AA running cost rate is for a 1998 Mazda Roadster? Thanks.

It's very difficult to say on a car of this age. Our running costs for a 1.8 litre car would be 65c per km, but they are worked out on newer cars, where depreciation is a major factor. Your car would be less as it has already depreciated significantly.
However, older cars may require more maintenance so the only way to be certain would be to keep all receipts and work out the actual cost for your particular car.
FYI, the IRD rate is 77c per km for all cars, but you must keep a logbook and it is limited to 5,000km, thereafter you need to do as I've suggested (ie; work it out from receipts etc).
