Hi,
my employer and I are trying to work out suitable reimbursement rates for my occasional business use of my personal car - a 2001 Mercedes S430 (which has a 4.3l petrol engine) . Especially for longer trips.
We could use the IRD rate of 77c/km, but I understand the running costs information that the AA publish are an acceptable alternative to use - from the IRD's perspective.
Can you tell me what your reports show as the running costs for my car.

The AA Running costs are calculated for vehicles less than 5 years old and for a 4.3L petrol vehicle it's 107 cents per km. As an AA Member you can dowload the running costs report.
