Hi - we would like to find out the running costs calculation for a 1993 diesel Nissan Patrol towing a 8x4 tandem trailer (if that can be applied). Thank you.

It is very difficult to calculate the running cost of a 21 year old vehicle. Depreciation is one of the biggest factors to running a vehicle, and on a vehicle of this age, it has depreciated significantly.
Our calculation for a 3.0litre+ diesel vehicle would be $1.07 per km, but this is based on a vehicle at the 3rd year of age. I'd guess that your vehicle would probably be about half that rate.
Unfortunately, there are too many variables for us to provide the cost of running a trailer.
