Hi can you give me the running costs per KM for a Porsche Cayenne Turbo (4.4l) and a BMW X5 Diesel (2002) please.
Thanks in advance.
Obviously, a Cayenne Turbo will be significantly heavier on fuel consumption than a 3.0 litre diesel X5, but believe it or not, the overall running costs for these two calculate to be relatively similar at around $1.07 per km.
Although our calculations are based on vehicles at the 3rd year of age, where depreciation is a major factor, vehicles such as the large European SUVs you mention will be much heavier on maintenance than run of the mill smaller vehicles, therefore the $1.07 is probably OK to use in this instance - but remember, this is just a guide.
