what would I charge my employer if I used my 1995 Honda Civic for work use

What do I do about insurance. Would the insurance company pay out if I crashed with work stuff in it under my normal insurance.?

This is a negotiation you need to discuss with your employer. Due to the age of your car the real running cost would probably be no more than around 35c per km.

You should discuss the matter of insurance with your insurer to make sure your policy covers you if you are using the vehicle in the course of your employment.
