I recently bought a Toyota Caldina 2007 - 1.8 L engine. I asked the dealer about the fuel type and he suggested 91.
Could you please tell me which one is best suited for my car - 91, 95, or 98?
I have read some posts about 95/98 being beneficial in long run, will it be the case with my car?
The information I have shows this vehicle can run on regular 91 octane fuel. If you use a higher octane fuel you will pay a premium of 8 to 16 cents/l (95 - 98) for a marginal gain in fuel economy and performance. In the long run, using 95 or 98, you will be paying more to cover the same distance you would using regular 91 octane.
Stick to the manufacturer's minimum recommended fuel rating - in your case the 91 octane.
